Needle Felting Fun- 90 Minutes

ABlakeNeedleFeltedCoasters2Description:  Felting is a fun and relaxing way to take your knit, crochet, or felted projects to a whole new level! Learn the basics of this fun and versatile medium while making a personalized set of 4 drink coasters! We will cover wool characteristics, basic felting science, beginners needle felting, and the design and creation of a set of needle-felted drink coasters.

Things to Know:  Materials fee (including felt base surface, wool roving, foam, and felting needles): $10

Your Instructor:  Ali Blake is a textile artist and teaching artist based in Providence, RI. Ali discovered her love for textiles while studying at Rhode Island School of Design, where she received her BFA in Textiles in 2014. When she’s not natural dyeing or making needle-felted community murals with middle schoolers, Ali can be found machine knitting, needle felting, or testing a new recipe in the kitchen.
